Green Tea White Sangria

Green Tea White Sangria

Green Tea White Sangria
A recipe from Better Homes and Gardens inspired me to tweak a summer favorite, Sangria, to feature white wine and antioxidant-rich green tea. It's light, refreshing and the perfect entertaining go-to drink of the summer.

    Ingredients
    • 2 bottles white wine (I prefer Pinot Grigio)
    • 2 1/2cups peach green tea
    • 1/3-1/2cup agave syrup or honey
    • Lime slices
    • Juice of 3 limes
    • 2cups sliced cantaloupe and honeydew slices
    • Lots of ice
    Instructions
    1. Combine the white wine and the following 3 ingredients (through lime juice) in a large pitcher. Taste and adjust for more sweetener if it is not sweet enough for you. Chill for at least 1 hour (I will make the night before and chill overnight). To serve: fill glasses with ice and fill with sangria. Add a couple melon slices and a lime slice.
    Recipe Notes

Use a mix of your favorite summer fruits; i.e. add in watermelon slices or try peaches, honeydew and raspberries.
